A refined and aromatic dry white wine from Georgia’s Kakheti region, Marani Kondoli Mtsvane-Kisi 2018 is a beautifully balanced blend of two native Georgian grape varieties: 50% Mtsvane and 50% Kisi.
Light gold in colour with a subtle greenish hue, the wine brings together the freshness of Mtsvane with the richer fruit character of Kisi. On the nose, expect leafy, floral notes alongside ripe tropical fruit, pineapple and plum.
The palate is clean and expressive, opening with white peach and floral flavours before developing into a richer, creamier mid-palate with layers of mango, peach and pineapple. The finish is elegant, fresh and lifted, giving the wine both richness and finesse.
The grapes come from selected blocks of the Kondoli vineyards, where yields are deliberately reduced through green harvesting to improve concentration and overall fruit quality. Hand-harvested at the end of September, the grapes are carefully sorted, chilled and gently pressed, with every effort made to protect the juice from oxidation.
Fermentation takes place at a cool 13–14°C using indigenous yeasts naturally present on the grape skins, helping preserve the wine’s aromatic character. After fermentation, the wine is aged for five months with regular lees stirring to build texture and integrate flavour before minimal filtration and bottling.
A beautifully expressive Georgian white for anyone who enjoys aromatic wines with freshness, tropical fruit and a creamy, layered palate.
